Recently, someone asked which animals are symbolically linked to the Causevest Network. There are five core animals that represent the origins, values, and personality of the project.
Below is a brief explanation of how each animal connects to Causevest.
Cows
The idea of Causevest began with a moment of reflection by our founder while sitting in a field in Switzerland, under a tree, surrounded by cows.
During this time, they were contemplating blockchain technology and how it could connect to the physical world in an altruistic way.
The goal was to create something that could help protect the environment, nature, people, and good causes. Something that supports what people truly care about, even if those values are sometimes difficult to articulate. Cows were present at the very birth of that idea, which is why they became the first animal symbol linked to the Causevest Network.
Chickens
One of the earliest designs created by one of our founders Lady Latchford featured a chicken. This symbol grew into a broader inspiration around sustainability and self sufficiency.
Chickens are excellent at reducing food waste and turning scraps into value. They also play an important role in small scale, local food systems such as garden farming. At the time, some countries were introducing licensing and restrictions on how many chickens individuals could own. This further inspired our support for sustainable practices and individual food resilience, making chickens a natural fit within the Causevest ethos.
Dogs
Dogs hold a special place within the Causevest Network. One of our founders’ favourite animals is the dog, and this is reflected directly in the team.
Fifi, also known as Fiona, is one of the official Causevest dogs and is proudly owned by one of our founders. She is very much considered part of the team. Dogs represent loyalty, companionship, and care for others, values that strongly align with the spirit of Causevest.
Ocean Dwellers
Orca whales and fish are grouped together as they represent our deeper connection to the ocean, altruism, and shared values within the team.
One of our founders’ favourite animals is the orca whale, and Causevest has previously supported causes focused on the preservation and protection of orcas. The orca reflects intelligence, cooperation, and strong social bonds.
Fish represent another important layer. Many members of the Causevest team are passionate about marine life and ocean preservation. A large portion of the team are Pisces, with birthdays in March. Pisces are traditionally associated with empathy, altruism, and compassion, which likely explains why so many of us were genuinely drawn to a mission driven project like Causevest.
