Causevest Monthly Cause Voting – June 2026
Travelling around Thailand has given me a lot to think about when it comes to Causes.
Like many people visiting Bangkok, Pattaya, and other busy areas, I’ve seen people begging on the streets. Seeing children being used to encourage donations raised difficult questions about exploitation, organised begging networks, andthe need to ensure that donated funds are reaching the people who need it most.
At the same time, I’ve also seen something very different.
I’ve seen genuinely homeless people (something I can recognise) sleeping on pavements, keeping to themselves, not asking anyone for money. I’ve seen makeshift shelters built from scrap materials hidden behind roads, under bridges, and in forgotten corners of the city. People simply trying to survive, trying to find food, safety, and dignity in difficult circumstances.
It is easy to become cynical when you see scams or exploitation. But it is important not to let those experiences blind us to the very real suffering that also exists around us.
This month, Causevest will focus on organisations helping vulnerable and homeless people in Thailand, supporting practical solutions that provide shelter, food, training, rehabilitation, and a pathway back into society.
Cause Option 1
Bangkok Community Help Foundation – Center of Dreams
The Bangkok Community Help Foundation has launched the Center of Dreams, one of Bangkok’s first inner-city homeless shelters.
The project provides temporary accommodation, meals, clothing, hygiene facilities, career guidance, vocational training, and support designed to help people rebuild their lives and regain independence. Rather than simply treating the symptoms of homelessness, the programme focuses on helping people transition back into employment and stable housing.
The initiative works directly with vulnerable individuals across Bangkok and represents a practical, long-term approach to tackling homelessness.

Cause Option 2
Arthorn Chumchon Foundation (ACF Thailand)
Arthorn Chumchon Foundation works with vulnerable communities across Bangkok, providing support, shelter, education, welfare assistance, food programmes, and outreach to homeless individuals.
Their work focuses on helping people who have fallen through the cracks, offering both immediate assistance and opportunities for long-term improvement through education, life skills training, and community support programmes.
Their mission is centred around restoring dignity and creating opportunities for people facing hardship.

Why These Causes?
This month’s causes were selected because they focus on people who are often invisible.
Not everyone asking for help is genuinely in need, and not every person in need asks for help.
