I Came across a video from millionare_diary_zz
TikTok - Make Your Day (Day 229) that breaks down a powerful idea from Adam Grant and his book Give and Take.
He says he thinks there are three types of people in the world:
Takers
They put themselves first. They extract value often at the expense of others.
Matchers
They keep score. Give to some and take from others with the aim of keeping balance.
Givers
They help others without expecting anything in return.
Research shows that matchers sit at both ends of the spectrum
Why?
Because not all giving is equal.
The givers who struggle tend to:
• Help everyone, including people who take advantage
• Give away their most limited resource, their time
• Stay invisible, with no recognition for the value they create
But the matchers who win:
• Help the right people
• Share knowledge, connections, and opportunities instead of burning themselves out
• Build visibility and reputation over time
So in the short term, takers and overly calculated players can win.
But in the long term, matchers win, while givers almost always loose.
This is exactly the problem Causevest is here to solve.
In most systems today:
• Takers exploit
• Matchers survive
• Givers get drained
The system punishes the very behaviour that actually creates value.
Causevest flips that.
It creates an ecosystem where:
• Givers are rewarded by default, not left behind
• Matchers can still operate fairly
• Takers can’t endlessly extract without contributing
Most importantly Causevest protects the self-sacrificing giver
The person who does good even when the system gives nothing back.
That person who as far as we are concerned should not be finishing last instead we should
• Reward them when they help others
• We help them get remunerated for their time
• We highlight and recognise the value they create
With your help we can bring a new reward ecosystem to life in 2026.
