The RIPE interns had an engaging and educative training on "Gender’, during this training the interns learnt on the differences between sex and gender, common gender stereotypes that dictates what a man and woman must do and it’s impact in our society. Moving on, they were able to get an in-depth knowledge on gender equity which also talks about creating policies that support work-life balance for all genders, ensuring equal pay for equal work, and promoting women’s participating in leadership roles.
We are super excited as the RIPE interns are on the road to becoming advocates for change in their respective communities…
