Causevest Monthly Cause Voting – Meaningful May

Just back on solid ground as we move into Meaningful May.

Kicking things off properly as today also happens to be World Tuna Day
[https://www.un.org/en/observances/tuna-day](https://www.un.org/en/observances/tuna-day)

So yes, I will be honouring that accordingly tonight.

On a more serious note, Meaningful May is about doing things that bring purpose, connection, and impact into everyday life. If you have not seen it before, it is worth a look as a simple framework for staying aligned:

Calendar: [Meaningful May | Action for Happiness](https://actionforhappiness.org/calendar)

###This Month’s Causes

1. Charity: Water – Clean Water Projects
[https://www.charitywater.org](https://www.charitywater.org)

Access to clean drinking water is still one of the most fundamental issues globally. This initiative funds sustainable water solutions like wells and filtration systems, alongside local training to maintain them long term. Straightforward, measurable impact.

1. Generation – Youth Employment Programmes
[https://www.generation.org](https://www.generation.org)

Focused on getting young people into real jobs, not just education loops. They provide practical training, career support, and pathways into employment across multiple countries. This aligns well with long-term self-sufficiency rather than short-term aid.

### How It Works

Funds are allocated from the Leaderboard Pot, which is fed from the Network Income Pool.

You allocate your available votes across the causes
The more votes a cause receives, the larger its share
Voting power reflects your participation in the network

As the chain is not yet live, you can currently vote using the Causevest extension or by posting directly on the forum.

### Voting Period

Voting is now open and will run until the end of May.

### Final Thought

Meaningful May is a good reminder that impact does not need to be complicated. Small, consistent direction of capital and attention compounds.

Cast your votes and decide where this month’s impact goes.
